Sedalia has a rich, storied history that most of us in town are aware of, but don't think a lot about.  In fact, every day we probably go right by some of the landmarks and important sites in town that meant a lot to our forefathers.  Shutter Glimpses, a photographic art exhibit by Moonlight 10 Photography, will be displaying some of those images at the Katy Depot starting this weekend.Mark Hammond is a local guy who's been following his passion of landscape and architectural photography for about ten years now.  Ever since a 2007 trip to Israel changed how he looked at the world, he realized just how much beauty there is here in Sedalia. The  historic Katy Depot in Sedalia is hosting an art exhibit featuring several of his photos.  Shutter Glimpses: A Photographic Art Exhibit by Moonlight 10 Photography will be opening March 29 running through April 26. Open from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, on Saturday, Mark will be on hand at the event to talk about the work, tell a little bit about its history, and discuss what the rich history of Sedalia means to all of us.  I got to talk with Mark recently about the exhibit, and how it came to be displayed at the Katy Depot.

Make sure you stop by on Saturday, March 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Katy Depot, 600 East Third street, to see the photos and talk with Mark about them.  If you can't make it that day, you can always stop by the Depot during their normal hours until April 26 to see the exhibit.

If you'd like more information about the photos, Mark's work, or if you want to get in touch with him about buying or commissioning work, you can call 660-281-7014 or email moonlight10photography@yahoo.com. You can also visit the Katy Depot website or call them at 660-826-7773, or email katydepotsedalia@gmail.com for information about the Depot.

Artistically yours,
Behka
