She and Him revived Dusty Springfield's 1964 classic song, 'Stay Awhile,' on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' last night (Oct. 29) -- and they made it look effortless.

Sure, Zooey Deschanel has that tendency to approach her performance with nonchalance, but her vocals seemed hardly strained and easily flowed out of her. Dressed in a lovely beaded vintage-looking dress, her performance brought us back to the '60s -- the heydey of Dusty's reign on the charts.

Meanwhile Zoey's musical counterpart, M. Ward, glided around the stage playing with easy. And even if he seemed to be riffing on strings, the song still sounded just as light and airy as it did back when it was initially released. With the Roots and a woodwind section to back them, they brought the big band feel to the late night stage.

She and Him's cover of 'Stay Awhile' is part of the band's upcoming album, 'Classics.' Set to release on Dec. 2 via Columbia Records, the LP, which will be the duo's first major label release, will also feature "timeless standards" like the Righteous Brothers' 'Unchained Melody' and Maxine Brown's 'Oh No, Not My Baby.'
