The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing in Sedalia at the Thompson Conference Center at State Fair Community College Oct. 5, with a Q & A session starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public starting at 6:30 p.m. 

A sewer rate case was filed by Raccoon Creek Utility Operating Company, Inc., on Feb. 2, with MoPub, with the company seeking to increase the annual sewer operating revenues by roughly $529,557.

Current monthly sewer rates for residential customers are proposed to increase by the following estimates:

WPC -- proposed to increase from $38.12 to $94.62

West 16th -- proposed to increase from $26.42 to $94.62

Village with service obtained before Dec. 1, 1998 proposed to increase from $17.33 to $94.62

Villege with service obtained after Dec. 1, 1998 proposed to increase from $23.48 to $94.62.

Raccoon Creek serves approximately 500 residential sewer customers in Pettis County near Sedalia and in Johnson County near Knob Noster, a press release said.
