There is so much to do this weekend.  Here's a look at the lowdown!

New this year, there will be a haunted maze at the American Legion Building.

It’ll be on October 25, 26, 27, at the AL Building, 2016 West Main Street from 5:00 p.m.m to 9:00 p.m.  The cost is $3 a person, and children will be given goodie bags while supplies last.  This is sponsored by the Sylvia G Thompson Residence Center, and the proceeds will go to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The 7th Annual Waverly Haunted Hayride Friday and Saturday October 25th & 26.

The event will be held at  the Waverly Community Building. Ticket sales start at 6pm and the 1st hayride leaves at 7pm. Cost is $5.  Riders under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Trick or Trat for TaTas Run is Saturday.

Grab your Halloween costume and come race for a great cause at Clover Dell Park on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Trick or Trot for TaTas 5K and Monster Dash Kids’ Fun Run presented by Socket Voice, Data and Internet.  There will be prizes for the best guy, best girl and best group costumes, as well as for best costume for ages 2-6 and 7-12.  Proceeds from the run will go to Bothwell Regional Health Care Center Foundation’s Cancer Services Fund.  The race begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Runners can register by clicking this link. Everyone who registers by Oct. 15 will receive a T-shirt.  We’ll be taking last minute registrations at the event until Oct. 26 at 8 a.m.

AnimalFAIR will have an adoption event  and Pet costume party.
It’ll take place on  Oct 26,  10:00 a.m.  -  2:00 p.m. at the Tractor Supply in Sedalia.
AnimalFAIR has dogs available for adoption. All are really great, healthly, young dogs completely vetted and ready for a loving home. The Range Line Presbyterian Church will have a Lord’s Acre Sale. 
They’ll have a Ham and Turkey Dinner beginning at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Adult tickets are $7, and children aged 6 years to 12 years are $5.  The Sale starts after lunch at 1:30 p.m. Come have lunch and participate in the sale.  The Church is 14 miles North of Sedalia on 65 Highway to Highway CC west to Range Line Road right to church, or six miles east of Houstonia on CC to Range Line Road,  left to church.  Sale items include but are not limited to quilts, craft items, needlework, baked goods, canned goods, turkeys, pork products, 200 gallon propane courtesy of Guier Propane Inc.
The 14th Annual German Dinner will take place on Saturday, October 26.
It’ll be held at the Immanuel United Church of Christ at 4th and Vermont from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  They’ll have sauerbraten, German potato salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, polish sausage, sauerkraut, homemade applesauce, green beans, beets, hot rolls, salads, desserts and drinks.  Carry outs are available.  Visit the country store.  Tickets for adults in advance are $10, for kids 6-12 it’s $5.  5 and under eat for free.  At the door prices go up one dollar.  Proceeds go to the IUCC church needs, youth, CASA and the Festival of Sharing.
The Noonday Optimist Club will be holding their Haunted Hayride.
They will be holding it on Saturday, October 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  on the Missouri State Fairgrounds, west of the Grandstand.  The cost for adults is $5, the cost for children is $4, and 5 and under get on for free.  They’ll have the hayride, hotdogs, potato chips, drink and candy.
The Sedalia Business Women will hold their 33rd Annual Chicken Dinner.
It’ll be held on Sunday, October 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Shrine Multipurpose Building, 1615 Elm Hills Blvd.   Tickets are available from all SBW members, Don’s Truck Towing, and  MHC/Certified Public Accountants.   Ticket price (includes dessert) for adults : $9, children aged 3 to 10 years, $5, and children under three eat for free.  Tickets are available at the door.  For take out orders, call 221-1804.
The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra will begin a new era with its 51st season on Sunday, October 27.
The concert will be held in the Harold L Lickey Auditorium of the Bueker Middle School in Marshall and will begin at 2:30 p.m.   The concert will feature trumpeters Paul Copenhaver and Chris Farris, members of the Harmonium Brass Quintet.  The concert is free and open to the public.  For more information, email Cheryl Lines at notes4lines@att.net or call 660-886-9763.
The first rehearsal of the community chorus for the annual performance of Handel’s Messiah will be Sunday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m.
The rehearsal will be held at the Broadway Presbyterian Church, 209 West Broadway.  All vocalists are invited.  The Messiah, sponsored by the Sedalia Symphony Society and directed by Mrs Sandy Cordes, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8 at the Broadway Presbyterian Church.  The performance is free of charge.  For more information, call 826-5072 or 826-7506.
