Girl Scout nights at Papa John’s will help support Camp Sacajawea.

The Papa John’s nights will March 27-30. Order from Papa John’s and recieve 30% off your regular menu price order and an additional 20% will be donated back to the Pettis County Girl Scouts. Go to papajohns.com and enter in the promo code PGS30. This offer is valid in Sedalia only.

There will be a Career and Resource Fair on Friday, March 28.

It’ll be held at the Sedalia Housing Authority Community Center, 500 Welch Court.  You can seek employment opportunities, plan for the future and dress for success.  This is sponsored by the Pettis County branch of the NAACP.  For more information, contact Dr Marge Harlan at 660-366-4761 or Elder Noah E Poole at 827-4182.

There will be a Lenten Service & Lunch on Friday, March 28.

The lunch will be held  at First Christian Church, 200 S Limit. Service begins at noon in Fellowship Hall.  Lunch following. There is no charge for lunch but donations are accepted. The public is invited to attend. The speaker is Dr. Rev Rick Adams, Wesley United Methodist Church.

Senior Parents are selling tickets to the Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fries.

The dates of the event are March 14, March 28, and April 11.  Tickets are only $9.50/adult and $5.00/children ages 5-10.  Kids under 5 eat free with a paid adult. The menu includes deep fried and baked fish, fried potato chips and wedges, mac & cheese, green beans, baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread!  Homemade desserts are available for donation. Tickets available at Sacred Heart School and Church Rectory.

The Pettis County Firefighter’s Association will have their Annual Chili Supper.

It’ll be held on Saturday, March 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pettis County Fire Central Station, 1608 Clarendon.  You’ll have a choice of chili, chili dog, or hot dog, plus dessert and a beverage.  Tickets for adults are $5, seniors and children aged 5-12 are a cost of $3.  Under 5 eat for free.

The Katy Depot at 600 East Third in Sedalia is hosting an Art Exhibit.

Shutter Glimpses: A Photographic Art Exhibit by Moonlight 10 Photography will be opening March 29 running through April 26. The artist will be in session on Saturday, March 29. Open from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, the exhibit will feature a photographic art exhibition of the photography of Mark Hammond, a Sedalia native, of things distinctly Sedalia and the outlying region.

The Women’s Service League of Sedalia is planning its 17th Annual Cupid’s Ball, Journey to Oz, for Saturday, March 29.

The ball will take place at The Smith Cotton High School.  Girls 5-12 years are invited to ask their favorite guy; father, stepfather, uncle, or grandfather to the dance. Tickets are $20 per person which includes light refreshments, a professional 5×7 photograph and dancing.  Tickets are limited.  All proceeds are donated to local charities.  Please contact us for any questions at our new email address. “Change a Life Tour” is coming to Sedalia on March 30.
