Here's a look at all the events going on this weekend! 

The Knights of Columbus are hosting their annual Fish Fridays.

They will have baked and fried fish, fried potato wedges and homemade chips, mac and cheese, vegetables, cole slaw and corn bread.  Coffee, tea, lemonade and water included.  Homemade desserts by Sacred Heart Parents, for a free will donation.  Ticket prices are $9.50 for adults, and children 5-10 years of age are $5.  Tickets can be bought at the Rectory, Wine and More, Equity Bank, or McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.  Tickets are also available from Sacred Heart Senior parents, the Knights of Columbus, the Daughters of Isabella, and also at the door.  It’ll be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1708 Elm Hills Blvd, at the corner of Hwy 65 and Elm.

The Walgreens of Sedalia will be hosting a Bake Sale to raise money for a local Walk MS Team.

There will be a table set up inside and all the proceeds will go to the local team, Courtney’s Crew.   Hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You can call Walgreens for more information at 660-826-7464 and speak with Angel Barlow.

Bothwell Regional Health Center will host a Community Blood Center Drive.

It'll be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 22, at the Bothwell Education Center, corner of 14th Street and Ingram, in Sedalia.  By donating an hour of their time, donors can save two lives, according to the Community Blood Center, which supplies blood products to Bothwell Regional Health Center. Donations to the Community Blood Center are more likely to remain local and help family and friends in our community.   Donors can book their appointment at savealifenow.org or by contacting Michelle Burgin at 660-827-9550 or at mburgin@brhc.org

The Children’s Therapy Center is organizing the 15th scrapbook workshop for Saturday, March 23, 2013 beginning at 8 am and ending at 6 pm at the Ewing Vocational Center, 1500 Ewing Drive.

The workshop is designed for beginners to advanced levels…. simply bring your photos and a Creative Memories professional will assist you.  The fee is $20.00 and includes lunch, beverages & door prizes. There will be vendors selling variety of items. Reservations required in advance, call Susan at 826-4400 ext. 368.  Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Therapy Center.

This is the 31st running of the Sedalia Half Marathon.

The course is certified, and run on paved city and county roads. One mile loop at the start, then out and back. Largely rural setting. They'll meet at  Skyline Elementary School 2505 W. 32nd Street.

Come out to support individuals with disabilities in the Johnson County Community during Disability Awareness Month.

They’ll have Biscuits & Gravy,  Bacon & Sausage,  Hash Browns and  Eggs.  It will take place on Saturday, March 23 at the Johnson County Sheltered Workshop Cafe, 607 North Ridgeview Drive in Warrensburg.  The cost is $10 for an adult, and $5 for children 12 and under.  They will serve from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  For more information, call 660-747-9404.

The Smithton PTO Spring Carnival is this Saturday March 23.  

There will be Carnival Games & Bingo from 3:30 to 6:30, Silent Auction from 3:30 to 6:50 & the Basket Auction starting at 7:00.  There will also be a Chili Supper hosted by the Senior Parents from 4:00 to 7:00.

The Child Safe 9th Annual Adult Egg Hunt will be on March 23.

It’ll take place at the Matthewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  All proceeds will benefit Child Safe.   They’ll have games, prizes, 50/50, raffles and a silent auction with dinner and entertainment.
