Sedalia’s Weekend Events – Weekend of December 20

Here's a look at all the stuff going on this weekend! 

KSIS/KSDL/KXKX Radio is having a Blood Drive.

This Red Cross blood drive is on Friday, December 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  It will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1708 Elm Hills Blvd.  For an appointment,visit www.redcrossblood.org using the sponsor code KSISKSDLKXKX.

There will be a bake sale to raise money for the Concordia Senior Center.

It’ll be held on Friday, December 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Senior Center, 710 Main street.  Calls for pre orders of quick breads and cookies will be taken until December 13.  Call 463-7393 to place your order until noon.  All proceeds benefit the Senior Center.

Santa will meet with children at the Santa House in Downtown Sedalia.

Santa  will be at the Santa House from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 20, and from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, and Monday, December 23.

The Faith Baptist Church at 2331 South Ingram avenue will have a special Christmas presentation.

Pastor Hankins and the church invite all veterans and their spouses on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m.  The presentation will include special music and the showing of the patriotic Christmas movie Last Ounce of Courage.   For more information call the church at 827-1394.

The Sedalia Salvation Army offices will have amended hours for the holidays.

The Sedalia Salvation Army Thrift Stores, Soup Kitchen, and headquarters will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th, and Thursday, December 26th, and on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
