Here's a look at everything going on this weekend! 

The 27th Annual Les Webb Memorial Breakfast will take place on August 3. 

They’ll meet from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for a $10 donation.  They’ll serve steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, Bloody Mary’s, coffee, milk and orange juice.  It’ll take place at the Sedalia Shrine Club, supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children.  Take out and delivery orders are available, call Pat at 620-2939 for more information.

The Mike Fizer foundation presents Flying Pancakes.

This all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast will take place on Saturday, August 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  at the Sweet Springs Festival Gardens.  Admission is $5 a person, and all proceeds go toward scholarships for High School Seniors.

The Boonslick Regional Library is offering Technology to Go Sessions for Adults.

Starting on August 3, they will offer a session on using the Nook, Kindle or Tablet and teach patrons how to download e-books onto them.  Patrons are asked to bring their various E-Readers with them as well as the cord if needed to download to the Reader.  This will be offered every other Saturday in the Technology Lab in the lower level.  For more information, call the library at 827-READ.

AnimalFAIR has dogs & puppies available for adoption.

Bothwell Regional Health Center’s Women’s Health Unit will host a Breastfeeding Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, in the Bothwell Education Center, 14th and Ingram, Sedalia.

The health fair is free and open to the public. The event is part of Bothwell’s celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, which runs August 1 through 7.  Attendees will be eligible for door prizes, and vendors will be present to answer questions about their services.

The next SpoFest spoken word festival is slated for August 3rd at the Wildlife Ridge Winery from 4 to 6 pm.

Enjoy a romantic lakeview while tasting wine and listening to local area poets and writers. The scheduled list of readers include Doug Kiburz, Tony Shaffer, Connie Koch, Melanie Dees Campbell and Debbie Noland with music from Randy Melick.  Directions to the Wildlife Ridge Winery can be found on SpoFest.com. Admission is free.

The Eldorado United Methodist Church will have an Ice Cream Social and Supper.

It’ll take place at the church, 10405 Eldorado road in Green Ridge.  They’ll serve from 4:00 until the goodness is gone on August 3.  The menu features home made ice cream (many flavors to choose from), home made pies and cobblers, hot dogs with chili, coffee and ice tea.  Free will donations will be accepted.  From Sedalia, take Hwy Y (16th st) to Hwy 127 and turn left (South).  Turn right on AA (west). Turn right onto Eldorado road, follow the sign.  From Green Ridge, take Hwy B West to Hwy AA, turn left on Eldorado road and watch for the sign.  From Windsor, take Hwy WW and follow the signs.

The Grace Baptist Church will host a Gospel Music Concert.

It’ll be held on August 4 at 6:00 p.m. a the Church, 3304 South Ingram.  The Warren Family has been travelling around performing Gospel music  for many years.  They are very talented and if you enjoy good Gospel music, you will enjoy hearing them perform.  There will be no charge, but a free will offering will be taken.  For more information, contact the Pastor, Alvin Sipe at 660-826-2918.

The End of Summer Splash for Kids will partner with the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri and the Sedalia Parks Department to fully fund the Buddy Packs for the 2013/2014 school year. 

All funds collected will go toward providing children in Pettis County with buddy packs, and all the money stays in Pettis County.  The donation drive will be on Monday, August 5 from 1-6:00 p.m. at Liberty Park and Centennial Pools.  The parks department will be donating 100% of the admission cost to the packs.  If you’re not a swimmer, you can still donate and show your support.  Donations will also be collected at the entrance to both pools all day.
