Here's a look at some of the stuff going on this weekend!

The Sedalia Area Farmers’ Market will temporarily relocate during the Missouri State Fair.

The market will move from its home at the Centennial Gate of the Missouri State Fairgrounds to the south parking lot of Westlake Ace Hardware, 1010 Thompson Blvd., during the state fair. The market will be open in the Westlake Ace Hardware parking lot on Aug. 8, 12 and 15. The Missouri Department of Conservation and the Stealth Gobblers Chapter will host the annual JAKES Event.  
The National Wild Turkey Federation invite youth ages 8 – 17 to their annual JAKES Outdoor Event on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the University of Central Missouri Trap and Skeet Range in Warrensburg. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and lunch will be provided.   The JAKES event (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge Ethics & Sportsmanship) will provide various outdoor activities including trap shooting, shotgun patterning, game calling, archery shooting, fishing and more. Shotguns and ammunition will be provided. But participants are encouraged to bring their own firearms and ammunition they plan to use during fall turkey season. Door prizes will also be given away.    Youth 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. For more information and to register, call 660-530-5500.
The Golden Circle Horse Show Circuit will be having seven shows this year with three being held in Sedalia, and four being held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
The objectives of the show are to encourage good sportsmanship and proper conduct among horsemen and to foster good fellowship of all persons interested in saddle horses, to promote the education in the care, use, handling and development of horses and horsemanship, to create, stimulate and maintain interest in saddle horses and horseback riding in communities in the Golden Circle area and to encourage proper and humane handling and care of horses, to prevent cruelty to animals.  This will take place on Saturday, August 16 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Johnson County Fairgrounds.  Visit their website for more information.
The Otterville Presbyterian Church’s Deacons will be hosting an Ice Cream Social on Sunday August 17th from 4PM to 7PM.
 There will be Homemade Ice Cream, Chilli Dogs, a Silent Auction and a live Band (Remedy 4 Redemption).  Everyone is welcome!!!  The church is located at
101 Grover in Otterville.
There will be an Ice Cream Social held by the American Legion Post 305.
It’ll be held on Sunday, August 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The cost is a freewill donation.   They will have ice cream, pie, cake and chili dogs.  50% of the profits will be donated to the Cole Camp Food Pantry. Other proceeds will go toward operating funds for the American Legion Post 305.
