The Sedalia Scottish Rite Club donated $10,000 towards the Bothwell Foundation Gene Loveall Cancer Services Fund.

According to the press release from BRHC, the Sedalia Scottish Rite Club raises funds each year to further its charitable work through spring and fall fundraising events.

“We are so thankful for the generous gift from the Sedalia Scottish Rite Club,” said Jason Sharp, Director of the Canon Cancer Center. “The money they donated to the Bothwell Foundation cancer services fund will help us continue our efforts to provide the highest quality care to patients in our community.”

The Bothwell Foundation Gene Loveall Cancer Services Fund was created to provide resources for improving cancer treatment and services in Pettis and Benton Counties.

The Bothwell Foundation has used the funds raised to provide gas cards to cancer patients, chemo chair cushions, a new speaker system for radiation therapy, and other special needs items for cancer patient care.

In the last 10 years, the Bothwell Foundation has contributed more than $1.5 million to financially support Bothwell Regional Health Center.
