Sedalia Police were called to the 300 block of S. Lamine Ave. on May 13 around 1 a.m. for a report of several gunshots. According to a police report, police made contact with two people in the 300 block of S. Washington. One of them provided a false name and then fled on foot. He was tracked and located using a K9.

Police say 27-year-old Clavin Wade Comfort was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and had a felony failure to appear warrant from Pettis County. Comfort was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony resisting arrest and identity theft.

Officers were unable to determine information regarding gunshots in the area.
