We're pretty lucky this year, in that our Independence Day Holiday will not only be on a Friday, but we'll have great weather! Whatever the weather, you should definitely make plans to attend the Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. This is something that's been going on in Sedalia for about seven years now.  The Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration will be at Centennial Park on July 4.   It’ll be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They’ll have a Downtown Parade at 10:00 a.m. They’ll have a picnic, games, music, and family fun. I got to talk with one of the organizers of the event, Terry Cockrell, about what games, food, and music will be out at Centennial Park.

If you want to sign up for the Parade or other information, call 826-5000 Ext 922. You can still get signed up for the parade, or you can volunteer to help with the lunch or the games. Either way, make a point to get out there and enjoy the day before the fireworks that night.

Celebratorily yours,
Behka
