On Wednesday, Sedalia Police took a burglary report from a couple who own a local construction company. According to the report, someone entered a residence they are building at 2221 E. 12th  and stole $1,940 worth of tools, as well as a wallet with credit and debit cards, which were later used at several Sedalia businesses.

Total purchases amounted to $2,189.69. The total amount of theft is over $4,000.

Surveillance video was obtained from some of the businesses where the transactions occurred, resulting in the identification of one of the suspects.

36-year-old Gonzolo Esqueda of the 300 block of W. 7th was located and arrested by Ofcs. Crampton and Benner, the report said.

Det. Jill Green mirandized Esqueda and interviwed him. He allegedly confessed to his involvement in the incident, as well as trespassing, property damage and theft. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he is being held pending the filing of charges for burglary, four counts of stealing, trespassing and property damage.

Another suspect in the case is still at large.

The construction company is owned by Roman and Yuriy Limanskiy.
