Sedalia Man Arrested After Attempting to Flee Accident

Sedalia Police were dispatched at 8:47 p.m. on November 25 to investigate an accident in the 400 block of North Grand Avenue.

Police say a vehicle struck two parked vehicles. According to a police report, the driver, 33-year-old Fernando Contreras, attempted to flee the scene but was restrained by witnesses.

Contreras was arrested for DWI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving While Suspended and Identity Theft. Contreras was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
