The City of Sedalia is having a Clean Sweep on Saturday, May 31.  The Clean Sweep is a chance for local residents to help clean up our town and rid the streets of trash and debree.  It's a great opportunity to earn community service hours, get out in the spring air, and feel like you're making a difference with the Citizens for a Clean Sedalia.  Everybody wants to be able to enjoy walking, biking, and driving down our streets without the distraction of trash or limbs or leaves everywhere.  We need your help, though.  Volunteers are needed, and it's very important that you stop by, if you can.  I got to talk with Jamie Bethel, one of the organizers of the Clean Sweep, about how you can help.

They'll have supplies and your lunch, so you don't have to bring anything but your willingness to help.  Meet them at the City Garage, 901 East Third, at 8:30 a.m. on the 31st.  If you need more information, contact Jamie at 827-3000 ext 139, or you can email to jbethel@cityofsedalia.com.  Come on out and bring the family - everyone pitching in will not only get the job done faster, but it'll make it more fun.  And who knows, you might start a new tradition with future generations.

Cleanly yours,

Behka
