Save Lives with the American Red Cross Next Week in Sedalia [INTERVIEW]

Our radio stations like to help out  locally with as many local causes as we can.  It can be donating to a cause, getting the word out, or helping with the event, we'll do what needs to get done.  We're pairing up with the American Red Cross next week for a huge blood drive.

State Fair Community College will host of the Blood Drive. The event is "We Challenge U to Give Blood."  Just one donation can save up to three lives.  When you give blood, three aspects are taken: platelets, plasma and blood cells.  So each of those can go to three different people!

I spoke with Craig Jackson to give a little detail about how the process works and about the actual drive.

The blood drive will be held on Friday, Oct.11 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m at the SFCC Thompson Conference Center, 3201 West 16th St. in Sedalia. We'll be out there for a live broadcast, and you know that means: prizes!  Don't worry, we're not above bribing you.
