For the past five years my obsession of EDM music has grown so much. I remember hearing EDM music in high school not realizing what I was even listening to. As my good friend Danielle has said, "I would always think it was just club music." This was so true. We both grew up in a small town where EDM was not known. It was the the top 20, Lil wayne, some 80's rock, and mostly country. Skrillex was not in people's vocabulary. I would say my love for the music truly took off a few years ago when I went to Life In Color with my good friends. Now going on our fourth Life In Color, with festivals and shows in between, you could definitely say we are more in the veterans category. Though we have barely dipped our toes in to the culture, we have already experienced so much more than the average college student. Don't worry though, It is definitely on the rise. Already, mainstream music is playing major DJ's from all over the world. With that being said, I am excited to announce one of mine and my friends' favorite DJ will be at Life In Color in Columbia, Missouri this April. We had the opportunity to see them live already at Tomorrowworld, but getting to see them where it all began makes it very special. Life in Color has grown as a company and is Finally bringing bigger Artist to the table. This means tickets are more expensive, but totally worth it. I am writing about this today to remind myself of all the cherished memories I have made and for the memories to come. But I am also writing about this to let people know that this music is not just party music. To millions of people it is a positive culture that has gave a whole new meaning and perspective to their lives. I have read and watched countless stories of kids my age, older, or even younger having life changing experiences after they had discovered the EDM culture. Before you judge take time to consider the individual's story.  I hope to see you there! If not I will be taking pictures so you can see all the fun.

Here is Nervo's set I got to experience at Tomorrowworld. Enjoy!
