The Missouri State Fair has announced that country music band Little Big Town will perform at the Pepsi Grandstand on Saturday, Aug. 19.

The musical group has been comprised of the same four members since its founding in 1998, including Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet.

Little Big Town is currently touring to support their sixth album, Pain Killer. The four-piece band's latest video, The Breaker, was released Feb. 27. LBT is scheduled to perform live on CBS during the 52nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday April 2, in Las Vegas.

In addition, the band, which has won the CMA Vocal group of the year give times, will host the 2017 CMA Music Teachers of Excellence program April 26 in Nashville. The CMA Foundation, on which Fairchild serves as a member of the board of directors, will honor 31 teachers from across the nation at the event, according to the band's website.

This is the first of several major musical acts expected to be announced for this year's Fair, slated for Aug. 10- 20 in Sedalia with the theme, "Come Home." An opening act for Little Big Town has not yet been revealed.

Ticket Prices are $55 for Premium Track, $45 for Regular Track, $40 for Premium Grandstand and $30 for Regular Grandstand seats.

Tickets will be for sale starting at 9 a.m. on June 20 through ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-796-6776 / 800-745-3000. All concert seats are reserved. Convenience charges apply to all tickets, it was noted.

The Missouri State Fair Box Office opens at noon on June 26 for walk-up orders (while tickets remain). Box Office hours are: June 26 – Aug 4, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. (M-F), closed July 4 in observance of Fourth of July Holiday, Aug 7-9, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Aug 10-20, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
