Believe it or not, there's a little bit more to what we do here at the radio stations than being talkative. There's a long, rich history of radio, in all sorts of formats.  And now, you have the chance to learn a little bit of what I learned in college.  The class will be going over the beginnings, evolution, and innovation of radio.  Here's the details:

State Fair Community College will present Theatre of the Mind, a nostalgic radio class that will cover comedy, drama, suspense, and sports.  The class will meet four Saturday mornings on March 31, April 7, 14, and 21, from 10:00 - noon. Topics will be delivered through an old-time radio format. The class will meet at SFCC in the Fielding Buidling, room 253. The cost is $39.00. For more information, call 660-530-5822 or visit sfccmo.edu.

So you'll learn how the different topics were covered, how they made such a huge impact on their listeners, and how they crafted their entertainment into iconic mental images.  Admittedly, you'll only be covering a four period class so you won't be able to just waltz in and do my job, but you'll know a little more about where radio came from. Make that call and get signed up today!

Radioly yours,
Behka
