Our dream of a MacGruber reunion lives on. After a few scant Last Man on Earth Season 3 guest spots, Kristen Wiig will rejoin Will Forte with an extended role in the fourth season, along with SNL and Letterman alum Chris Elliott.

Wiig first appeared in a spotlight episode for Last Man on Earth’s midseason premiere, but didn’t pop up again (or interact with the actual cast) until the final moments of Season 3’s finale. As Entertainment Weekly reports, Wiig will be back for at least three episodes beginning with the premiere, after we last saw Pamela (Wiig) shooting a crazed Pat (Mark Boone Junior).

For his part, Elliott will appear beginning with the season’s second episode as Glenn, a castaway living on a deserted island. EW speculates the gang will encounter Glenn on said island after taking to the sea to escape the various broken nuclear plants threatening the mainland (it was a big TV year for nuclear upkeep).

In any case, The Last Man on Earth skated by to a Season 4 renewal in May, and will officially premiere on Sunday, October 1 at 9:30 P.M. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
