Earlier this month, Johnson County authorities arrested a 45-year old Windsor man, listed as a fugitive from justice, on multiple counts.

According to a press release on the Johnson County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page, the Johnson County Narcotics Enforcement Unit conducted surveillance at a residence in the 800 block of SE 1175 Road in Windsor.

The surveillance revealed a wanted fugitive, identified as 45-year old Chad Dunkin, of Windsor, was entering and exiting the residence.

On July 10th, Detectives received a search-warrant for the residence. According to the press release,just before 3:00 that afternoon, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Warrensburg Police Department 'Joint Special Weapons and Tactics Team' executed the search warrant and Dunkin was located inside the residence.

Dunkin was arrested on a Probation and Parole warrant for three counts of forgery, that carried a bond of $25,000. There was also an additional Probation and Parole warrant for three counts of possession of a controlled substance which also had a $25,000.00 bond. In addition to the warrants, Dunkin was also arrested on a non-Probation and Parole warrant for two additional drug-related charges with a $4,500.00 bond.

Another resident of the house, a 38-year old woman, also of Windsor, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold on a felony charge of Harboring a Fugitive, by allegedly giving shelter and aid to Dunkin.

The investigation is being forwarded to the Johnson County Prosecutor's Office for formal charges. The press release noted that the woman's name has been omitted from the report, as formal charges have not been filed.
