I've been to a few of the Sedalia Chamber of Commerce Piccadilly fundraisers.

Over the years, I've been to one that was Diamonds and Denim themed, one that was Fire and Ice, one year it was something about hats, and this year it's The Roaring Twenties.  It's always a lot of fun, you get to have good food, bid on stuff you probably would never think to treat yourself to, and hang out with the local ladies.

I have a problem, though.

I have no idea what to wear.

You could describe my look as "office casual" when I'm here at the stations. Polo shirts. Pants. Sensible shoes. Jeans every now and then. I have dresses, but I never wear them. Mostly it's because I'm a chubberton and I feel self conscious about it. And, it's also because I'm just a person who can't do too much frills. I can't put too much effort into my hair or my makeup or whatever because I do not have the patience for it! If it takes me longer than ten minutes to get ready in the morning, something's wrong.

But, I'm willing to do a once a year dress up for the Piccadilly. It's all to help the Chamber, and it's usually pretty fun.

But I don't have any clothes that would come close to filling that theme.  Is there an appropriate t-shirt one can wear that would look like you belonged in the twenties? I guess that's supposed to be part of the fun - nobody dresses like that now. So you have to go shopping in order to dress the part. But.  Guys. I am also a hater of all things clothing shopping. It's probably because of the same chubberton reasons.

But I started looking online and I think I might have found something cheap (after all, it's not likely I'll ever wear it again) and some accouterments.
