A 40-year old woman from Iberia, MO has been charged with the murder of her husband.

The Miller County Sheriff's Department says authorities responded to a house fire on December 11, 2018 on Janice Drive in Iberia, where the body of Joshua Murray was located inside.

Missouri State Fire Marshall's investigators and Miller County detectives determined the cause of the fire to be arson, which originated in the master bedroom. Investigation revealed an accelerant had been used.

An autopsy of Murray's body was conducted at the Boone County Medical Examiner's office, where it was determined he had died prior to the fire starting. Further investigation revealed Joshua Murray had died from poisoning.

The suspect was identified as Joshua's wife, 40-year old Amy Murray.

The Miller County Prosecutor has charged Amy Murray with 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action. She is currently in being held in the Miller County Adult Detention Center on a $750,000.00 bond.
