Okay guys, I don't think I'm alone when I say that I watch a lot of tv shows about crime.Dateline, Forensic Files, Making a Murderer, Homicide Hunter, Nightmare Next Door, Swamp Murders, Cold Justice, Cold Case Files, and all those mini documentaries about Jon Benet Ramsay, Casey Anthony, OJ Simpson.... ALL OF IT.

Basically, if it is on Investigation Discovery, I'm watching the heck out of it. If it involves a grizzly crime that has to be solved by using some DNA evidence, I've got that stuff on the DVR, you better believe it. Our Netflix queue is part murders, part Nazis, you get it.

So imagine my surprise when I saw that the Sedalia Historical Society is feeding my addiction by pointing out where the real crimes of Sedalia took place! It's going to be a guided tour of sites connected to various crimes in downtown Sedalia that goes from all the way back to the mid 1800's to the mid sixties. Murders, robberies, lynchings, kidnapping, all the stuff that you KNOW Keith Morrison would narrate the heck out of.

It's not re-enactments or anything, it's volunteers and members of the Society giving a guided tour, telling you the facts of when and where.

It'll begin on the parking lot of Ohio and Osage on Main street, you can buy your $10 ticket there (proceeds go to the Pettis County Museum). The tours start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, and go for about two hours (there will be a break about halfway through). This sounds interesting as HECK, people. You know my Dateline obsessed mind will be there. It'll probably be hard for me not to do my Josh Mankiewicz impersonation.*  So if you need more information you can call Charles at 660-221-6133 or you can email him at cwise@murlin.com.

Crimely yours,
Behka

*It is not good. It's mainly just me cocking my head to the side and nodding.
