Update, 12/19: Fiona Apple performed her version of "The Christmas Song" — aka "Trump's Nuts Roasting on an Open Fire" — during a Standing Rock benefit concert at L.A.'s Fonda Theatre on Sunday (December 18). Apple performed her holiday rework with a backing band, and screamed an earnest "Donald Trump, f--- you!" at the end. Watch above.

Count Fiona Apple among the many celebrities — and an over 2.5 million majority of American voters, according to NBC News — who did not choose Donald Trump as the next President of the United States. But with pivotal electoral college wins (and meddling Russian hackers) on his side, Trump's headed to the Oval Office on January 20, and the Grammy-winning "Criminal" singer managed to celebrate Christmas AND voice her political dissent with a rework of "The Christmas Song" popularized by Nat King Cole.

"Trump’s nuts roasting on an open fire / as he keeps nipping at his foes," Apple sings in hushed tones, possibly alluding to Trump's continued penchant for lashing out at parodies and perceived personal slights on Twitter. Her lyrics also refer to the privilege Trump was born into ("everybody knows some money and entitlement / can help to make the season white") and posits that he may not have working Americans' interests in mind.

Apple then completes her anti-Trump carol with both a literal "f--- you" and a figurative one, tearing a photo of the reality star turned president elect in half.

Trump’s nuts roasting on an open fire
as he keeps nipping at his foes.
you’ll cry 'creepy uncle'
every time he arrives
for he keeps clawing at your clothes
everybody knows some money and entitlement
can help to make the season white
mothers of color with their kids out of sight
will find it hard to sleep at night.

They know that truuump is on his way.
he’s got black boys in hoodies locked up on his sleigh
and every working man is going to cry
when they learn that Letch don’t care how you live or if you die

Sooo I’m offering this simple phrase
to kids from 1 to 92
although it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Donald Trump, f--- you
