The University of Central Missouri and the Warrensburg Ministerial Association will host the MLK Community Praise and Worship Service at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in Hendricks Hall on the UCM campus.
The event is part of UCM’s 2014 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Celebration, combining the traditional MLK Ecumenical Worship Service and MLK Gospel Concert.
The Rev. Terrence Moody of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will bring the message as the featured speaker for the event. Music will be presented by the Jesus Saves Pentecostal Church of God Sanctuary Choir, the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg Praise Team, and UCM’s ABC Gospel Choir. Special music will be presented by soloists Shirley Briscoe of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and Shannon Fisher of Kingdom Believers Christian Church.
The Warrensburg Ministerial Association also will present its MLK Scholarship.
The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
