The Sedalia Tractor Supply store is looking for local growers, crafters, and artisans to take part in the Spring Market Day showcase on Saturday, May 12.

The Johnson County Survival Adult Abuse Center’s Seventh annual “Girls’ Night Out” fundraiser will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday Feb. 25, in the Elliot Union Ballroom at the University of Central Missouri. Vendor booth shopping will begin outside the ballroom at 5 p.m. Survival has a goal $15,000 for this year’s “Girls’ Night Out” to fight domestic abuse.

As we all know, there are tons of great, new things to see on the fairgrounds. But have you actually been able to see some of the clever, economical and outright outrageous things that people are working with in the Commercial Building? It's like the future or something! I was fully expecting to see jet packs!

I know that a lot of us who head out to the Missouri State Fair often have our eyes out for some great deals. You're certainly going to find some at the Varied Industries Building. I went through it recently, and it really just gets better and better every year.

Today I had two of the members of the Sedalia Area Farmer's Market board in to tell us about the different options you have to get fresh food for your family. Brenda Raetz and Beverly Rollings came in and told us some info you might not know about the SAFM.

Get ready for the granddaddy of all garage sales!  The "World's Largest Garage Sale" is coming to the Missouri State Fairgrounds on May 18.  Whether you're a crafter, home-based business or just a person with tons of stuff they need to sell, all are welcome to gather at the commercial building at the fairgrounds for this massive sale.
