Sedalia Shriners to Host Golf Cart Rodeo

There will be a “Half-Hog” fund-raiser at the Sedalia Shrine Club, 1375 Elm Hills Blvd., Saturday, Sept. 29.

There will be processed pork chops, bacon, ham, sausage and ground pork at the event.

Cost is $10 for a donation to the Shriners, or two tickets for $18.
Winners need not be present to win.

On the same day, there will be a golf cart rodeo at the Sedalia Shrine Club starting at 2:30.

It will be a timed event, with two persons per cart, a blindfolded driver and a navigator completing a short obstacle course, then switching drivers.

The combined quickest times of each cart, minus penalties, will win the rodeo.

Cost is $10 per person, and there is a 50-percent payout for the top three finishers. The balance will go to the Shriner's Hospital.

A fish fry will complete the day's festivities at 5 p.m. The menu will consist of all-you-can-eat catfish, green beans, french fries, cheesy potaotes, slaw, cornbread and hush puppies.

The cost is $10 per ticket are two for $18 for the meal. Tickets are available at the Shrine Club bar, as well as Shrine members.
