Summer reading activities for adults, with a theme of “Libraries Rock,” will begin May 31 at the Sedalia Public Library, 311 W. Third.

The library is offering a reading challenge. Read five books in June and July and receive a coffee mug. Be sure to pick up a form at the library.

Good Health Rocks, a wellness class dealing with nutrition and exercise, will be offered by University Extension Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. starting may 31 and ending July 19. There will be food tasting during each session.

Chair Yoga with Irene Renauld will be held Mondays in June at 2 p.m.

Advance registration is required for these programs. Sign up at the library or call 826-1314 or email plong@sedalialibrary.com. The events are free and open to the public.

The library's monthly book club meets on the second Tuesday each month. June 12 is The Light Between Oceans, July 10 is The Japanese Lover, and Aug. 14 is The Uninvited Guests.
