There will be a Jack Oakie Film Festival to celebrate the life and career of this Sedalia native.It'll be held on November 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Convention Hall in Liberty Park. There will be light refreshments. Donations will be accepted to benefit the restoration of the Uptown Theater. Any relatives of Jack are asked to please attend. The night is open to the public.
