Join us at the Liberty Center to celebrate Christmas Sedalia style.  This multi-media musical celebrates Sedalia’s holiday traditions through favorite Christmas and patriotic songs, choreographed dance numbers, and historic photos and film. Local actors and actresses portray historic Sedalian’s who have shaped our community, beginning with the 1860’s.

The production recreates historic events including Depression-era “arrests” and a 1950’s men’s style show that defies description—both to benefit charities. The show also portrays bittersweet Christmases during World War I, the Depression, World War II, and the Korean War. This year’s production will take place on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, paying special tribute to World War II.  Becky Imhauser wrote the script for “A Sedalia Christmas,” based on her book series about downtown Sedalia. Darrin Hartman will be the musical director and accompanist. The production premiered at the Liberty Center in 2008 as a fund-raiser for the Liberty Center Association of the Arts. All proceeds continue to benefit the Liberty Center.
