Each top was emblazoned with the logo of the branch of military service in which they served.

A total of 36 sweat suits (along with a "thank you for your service" card) were distributed at six facilities, according to Elks PER (past exalted ruler) Virgil Kurtz, who spoke at Rest Haven, 1800 S. Ingram.

"We went to Main Street Logo and ordered sweatsuits for all of our vets. I think they turned out real nice," Kurtz said, adding that he obtained the size of each vet a week ago before ordering.

According to Kathy Baron, "one of our mottos is 'As long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.'"
