If there's any comfort food that people tend to turn to around this time of year, it's definitely some warm soup or chili.  And if you're like me, making it yourself can be a bit of a hassle.  Maybe I'm just lazy. But I'm not too lazy to eat chili or soup to help someone else. That's just what you can do with Sedalia Boy Scout Troop 66!

Come join Sedalia Boy Scout Troop 66 for an evening of delicious soup and chili with all the fixings on Saturday, January 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 200 South Limit. Enjoy the competition between challengers in the chili/soup cook-off and help your favorite recipe to win the penny war. The winner receives a cash prize and a trophy donated by Stone Laser Imaging. All proceeds will assist Sedalia Boy Scouts to attend camp and other events on the way to Eagle.

I got to talk with the gang from Troop 66 about the supper, and how you can help while getting some tasty grub.

Souply yours,
