Coldplay might not be able to fix one of their fans who has an incurable disease, but they're doing quite a bit to try.

Billboard reports the members collectively donated $17,000 to a fundraiser established by Jody Duff, a 37-year-old British fan who is fighting motor neurone disease -- a progressive neurological condition that's confined him to a wheelchair.

Duff set up a Just Giving campaign to raise money for research of the disease and set a goal of £25,000 (or about $42,000). Coldplay not only donated to the cause, but took to Twitter to urge followers to do the same.

According to the Mirror, Duff met the band at a concert a few weeks earlier. They invited him back to a second concert the following day, and frontman Chris Martin ended the show by dedicating a performance of 'Fix You' to Duff. Check out the video below:
