Boonslick Regional Library here in Sedalia are always working with kids, young people and adults to keep them reading. Book Buddies will have a great party with Santa, BTAG is active on Facebook, and the Bring Your Own Lunch program continues to make that workday a little easier.

Book Buddies is a storytime program for children ages 3 to 5 years of age. It helps preschoolers discover the fun and excitement of books, reading and the library. The program includes stories, fingerplays, songs, art activities, creative movement, a short film and holiday parties. This program lasts 45 minutes and will be held on Thursdays at 10 a.m., Oct. 17 to Dec. 19.

The teenagers also have some great things to do with the library.  They have their own Teen Space, an area for teens on the first floor of the Sedalia branch with books, magazines, graphic novels, and video games which can be played in the library. Meanwhile for the adults, the Boonslick Regional Library, Sedalia Branch Friends of the Library meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month from noon until 1 in the Sedalia Branch Meeting Room. And, they've got Bring Your Own Lunch, which is where they watch a movie based on a book. This program is held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at noon.

I got to talk with Greg Burel with Boonslick about all those programs and some of their future plans this winter.

For more information please contact the Sedalia Branch at 660 827 READ, or go to their website, or you can find them on Facebook. There's something for everyone and everyone is welcome!

Readily yours,
Behka
