Behka’s Enquiring Minds Recap: Week of January 12 [OPINION]

Every day I rack my brain to try to think of things for you and I to talk about.  I see what I do on the air as a way of conversing with you - but most of the time it's just me talking.  So with our surveys, I ask, and you answer. Here's a look back at some of your answers for our questions - I couldn't possibly go through them all, but here's some of the ones that stood out.

On Monday.....I was sick. So I wasn't here to ask you the question.

Anyway, then on Tuesday, we talked about your pets, and how they got their names. It seems like most everybody had an interesting story behind the names.

Lucky is our dog. She fell in an old cistern one day and was lucky we heard her and were able to get her out.

Oh, wow. That IS lucky. And now you're lucky to have an awesome dog!

We have a cat named Orneryella because our young daughter wanted her cat to have a Princessey name but she was Ornery to the core.

Now that is just adorable! Princessy and funny at the same time.

Joey (Bichon Frise) named after Joey on Friends. Buddy (Australian Shepherd Mix) He adopted us, when he would come around I would just call him Buddy cause I didn't know his name. :)

I named one of my old cats after a character in a movie, too. He was a big Maine Coon and I named him Banky after a character in Chasing Amy.

We have a dobbie named Biskit, a Rot named Bristol, a Lab Named Dax, 2 Labrotties named Marley & Zara. Then to the cats we have Pill, Fifi, Mina, Jingles, Mowglee, and Bear, and Kitten. And a Rabbit named Rosie and horses, Frannie & Whiskey. Yes we have a Zoo! Good thing we have a big farm.

HOLY BUSINESS, you guys have a lot of critters! Still, that's the way it is on a farm, huh.

On Tuesday, we talked about the money you carry on your person. Do you carry cash in your wallet, or do you use your debit card?

I usually carry less than $40 because the places I work I have not felt my purse was too secure and others had had money stolen. I usually pay cash for fast food, but other purchases go on my debit or credit cards.

That's a good idea - after all, you don't wanna get pick pocketed or something.

HA! Everybody likes a good broke joke. Sadly for me, though, most of the time I'm broke as a joke, so it wouldn't make a difference to me.

I always have at least a $20 bill stashed...you never know. I also have a $2 bill I carry that I found in my mother's billfold when she passed away.

I love two dollar bills, but I never see them. I guess everybody saves them, huh? Still, you're right - you never know. Maybe someday I'll get smart and start keeping a few dollars in my wallet.

Thursday, I asked you about some of the silly things over the years you've done that hurt yourself. I'm pretty klutzy so I'm always falling over or running into doors or whatever. The stupidest thing I've done recently is punch myself in the face while trying to open some Sun Chips.

Admittedly it wasn't like a full fledged "Mike Tyson's Punch Out" punch, but I still wacked myself pretty good on the nose. Those are some tasty chips, though - they were worth it. Delicious AND Dangerous.

I was trying to reach something on the top shelf of my kitchen cabinet, so i climbed on the counter and jumped backwards off slipped and broke my tailbone.

I can't count the number of times I've done something like that. I'm vertically challenged, so it can be pretty hard for me to reach stuff. I have a stepstool now.

Was running across a painted sidewalk in the rain to a bar to buy a six pack. slipped on the sidewalk, went airborn and landed on my butt cheek. Ended up with a bruise that went from my waist to mid thigh. That was in 1980 and I still have a knot in that cheek.

Wow, now that's a well deserved beer.

You must REALLY be dedicated to the game. I'm such a wuss, I don't think I'd ever try hard enough at a game to get myself hurt that badly. Maybe I'm just not competitive enough.
