When you think about people you consider heroes, a lot of us tend to think of our military, firefighters, police officers, veterans, people like that. But not everybody has that role in life.  And that's perfectly okay - you don't have to do much to be a local hero. You can definitely do that by donating blood! After all, your donation will help to save the lives of three different people.  Your platelets go to one person, your plasma goes to another, and your red blood cells go to another. Here's the scoop on your next opportunity to give:

Sedalia Individuals can help by donating blood at this Community Blood Center blood drive on Tuesday, April 3, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The drive will be held at 200 South Limit Ave., First Christian Church. To make an appointment online, visit esavealifenow.org, click the “Schedule an Appointment” icon and enter Sponsor Code sedalia. For additional details, contact Marge Watson at 660.827.2200.

So, make an appointment or make the time to stop by and give blood.  You'll be a local hero - and you'll be able to slack off a little the rest of the day. "I can't do the laundry today, honey.... I'm exhausted from saving the lives of three people today..."

Givingly yours,

Behka
