On Friday, area law enforcement agencies served a search warrant on Alexander Road in northeastern Pettis County, in regards to stolen vehicles, trailers, farm implements, and lawn equipment.

A press release from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department says that deputies were assisted by the MSHP Rural Crimes Unit, Missouri State Park Rangers, and investigators with the National Insurance Crime Bureau.

At the time of the report, investigators were still on-scene and had seized over $100,000 in stolen property from Pettis County and surrounding communities, including Sedalia.

The Sheriff's Office says the search resulted from a joint investigation by Pettis County deputies, and other investigators, into a series of thefts that have occurred over the past several months.

The report indicates that one person is already in custody, with additional arrests anticipated as the investigation continues. The names of the suspects were not released in the report.
