Every week, Sundays and Mondays are "my time". Usually what happens is, Husbando will go to Jefferson City on Sunday afternoons to go and play Bocce with his league or to spend time with his friend John.  Then, on Mondays, they go to Columbia to play an extremely nerdy game with about ten of their friends.  You can picture it: a small room, a small table, a lot of Mountain Dew, and dice everywhere.

You can also probably suss out pretty easily that I am not going to these evenings.  I have been before, and it's fine, it's just not my thing.  I stay home also because I have to get up early, and I don't want to limit his fun time (they will often go until 2 or 3 in the morning).  So that means I have two nights a week alone, unless something crazy happens or plans get cancelled.

You probably think that it must suck to have two nights a week alone, away from Husbando. But it's not.  I enjoy it.  I take my headphones out of  my laptop, and have my little internet obsessions that I follow.  I read.  Sometimes I play the violin.  I play with the cats.  I cook dinners that he absolutely hates.  It's nice to have some quiet.  It kind of... recharges my batteries?

I end up spending most of my day at work talking all the stop. I record commercials, I talk on the radio, I talk with sales people, blah blah blah talking talking talking. So when I get home, I tend to go quiet.  I can sit for hours and not say anything. I guess I need the time to just zone out.

But, is that weird? I mean, it can't be that weird.  What do you do when you have a night alone? Do you enjoy a night or two alone?  Would you like to have the regular nights like I have, or is it too much? Let me know what you think.

Quietly yours,

Behka
