Accident Sends Two Sedalia Residents to the Hospital

Two Sedalia residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident around 10 p.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu was eastbound on U.S. 50 when the driver suddenly applied the brakes and emergency brake. The vehicle traveled off the road and overturned.

The drive, 18-year-old Austin Henderson, and a passenger, 42-year-old Stephanie Henderson, were both taken to Research Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District for the treatment of minor to moderate injuries.

The Missouri State HIghway Patrol says that the Malibu was totaled and towed from the scene.
