A Look Back With Doug: Saturday in the Park

The weekend is here and it's the weekend after the Missouri State Fair. Things are starting to get back to normal and in looking for a theme for the weekend, suddenly the song 'Saturday in the Park' popped into my head by Chicago.

Chicago put this song out in 1972 and came out on the Chicago V album. This song virtually pushed the album to high notoriety. Billboard ranked it #1 in 1972. It may be surprising to hear this album was only made in a week, but they obviously promoted it well.

I had a chance to see them live when Chicago played with the Beach Boys in the 1990s and even twenty years ago it brought the crowd to their feet.
