A head-on vehicle collision in Johnson County caused injuries to seven people Tuesday Night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 7:15 Tuesday evening, on MO-23, just south of Route DD.

A 1999 Lexus crossed the center of the road and struck a 2017 Chevrolet head-on.

Five people in the Lexus suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious. The driver, 24-year-old Christopher L. Wilson suffered injuries, while four passengers received minor injuries. The passengers include, 10-year-old Zaydin D. Carpenter, 20-year-old William J. Heffernan, 31-year-old Andrea D. Herr, and 20-year-old Samantha M. Walton, all of Warrensburg, were taken to Research Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Chevy, 25-year-old Kevin D. Hartman, and a passenger, 24-year-old Ashley D. Hartman, both of Whiteman Air Force Base, suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.

According to the report, both vehicle were totaled in the accident.
