3 Reasons Chiefs Fans Should Hate the Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have beat the Kansas City Chiefs three out of their last five playoff appearances, dating back to '95. Here is how each game went.

'95-The 5 missed field goals. The 13-3 Chiefs lost to the 9-7 Colts. The Chiefs were a superior team but managed to lose the game 7-10. The biggest reason the Chiefs loss was clearly Lin Elliott's FIVE missed field goals, three of which were 42 yards or shorter. The Chiefs had a stout defense but were unable to overcome the missed field goals. The Colts were then led by quarterback Jim Harbaugh, now the Head Coach of the San Fransisco 49ers.

'03-The game with no punts. The Chiefs where on a roll with a 9-0 start. Sound familiar? The team ended 13-3 with a first round bye. The Colts were led by a young quarterback with a huge upside by the name of Peyton Manning. The game was a clash of two offensive juggernauts. Unfortunately, the Chiefs defense could not find a way to make the Colts punt, not even once. The game ended with a Chiefs loss 31-38.

'06-Peyton Strikes...Again. This game situation was the opposite of the '95 game. The Colts were the superior team with a 12-4 record taking on a Chiefs team that backed in the playoffs with a 9-7 record. This game was not close from the beginning. The Colts asserted their dominance winning the game 23-8. That Colts team went on to win the Super Bowl lead by quarterback Peyton Manning and head coach Tony Dungy.
