19-Year-Old Arrested for Assaulting Juvenile

On May 23, the school resource officer with the Pettis County Sheriff's Office responded to Sedalia Middle School in reference to an assault. According to an incident report, an a juvenile was assaulted by a 19-year-old while attending a school function. The suspect, who was not named in the report, was arrested on May 24 and was booked into the Pettis County Jail on tentative charges of fourth degree assault and peace disturbance. The Pettis County Sheriff's Office has submitted the case to the Pettis County Prosecutor.
